FAQ

Denton managed IT, answered.

Do you provide onsite IT support in Denton?

Yes. Metro Relay provides onsite IT support across Denton and Denton County from our Richardson base—from the courthouse-square district and the university area to the business and industrial parks along I-35. Most issues are resolved remotely, and an engineer comes onsite when hands-on work is required. We also serve nearby Carrollton and Frisco—see all our DFW service areas.

What kinds of Denton businesses do you support?

Denton’s mix includes education-adjacent organizations, healthcare providers, manufacturers, and professional-services firms, plus the small businesses that surround its two universities. These teams need secure, well-managed technology—covered end to end with monitoring, security, and support.

What is included in managed IT services?

Managed IT bundles the day-to-day essentials into one predictable monthly service: a responsive help desk, 24/7 monitoring, patching, endpoint and identity management, backup and recovery, vendor coordination, and network oversight. Instead of calling around when something breaks, your team has one accountable managed IT partner keeping systems secure, current, and running.

How do you handle cybersecurity and compliance?

Security is part of every plan, not an add-on—endpoint protection, email and identity security, patching, monitoring, and response. For regulated teams we help implement and document the technical controls behind frameworks like HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, CMMC, and PCI-DSS. We handle the technology and evidence side of cybersecurity; we do not issue certifications or guarantee audit outcomes.

Can you manage Microsoft 365, the cloud, and our network?

Yes. We administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID identity—email, MFA, conditional access, and clean onboarding and offboarding—and manage servers and workloads in Azure and other cloud platforms. We also design and support the network underneath: switching, firewalls, commercial Wi-Fi, and structured cabling for new offices, moves, and buildouts.

Is the onsite IT assessment really free?

Yes. The initial onsite IT assessment and the findings we share are complimentary—no cost and no commitment. An engineer reviews your systems, network, and security at your Denton office and gives you a clear picture of what is working and what needs attention. Any implementation or project work is scoped and quoted separately, only after you approve it.

How quickly can you respond when something breaks?

It depends on urgency, your location, scheduling, and whether you are already a managed client. Managed clients are prioritized and monitored around the clock, so many problems are caught and fixed remotely before they interrupt work; an engineer is scheduled onsite when the situation needs hands-on attention. We are straight about timing rather than promising a fixed arrival window.

Can you help with a one-time IT project instead of ongoing management?

Yes. Alongside ongoing management, we take on one-time projects—office moves and cabling, network or Wi-Fi upgrades, Microsoft 365 or cloud migrations, server refreshes, and security cleanups. Projects are scoped, quoted, and billable once you approve them. Many Denton businesses start with a single project and move to managed IT after they see how we work.

How much does managed IT cost in Denton?

There is no one-size price. Managed IT is usually a predictable per-user or per-device monthly fee, and the right number depends on your users and devices, number of locations, existing infrastructure, security requirements, and the level of support you want. We scope it after the complimentary assessment so the quote reflects your actual environment, not a generic package.

We already have an IT provider or an internal team—can you still help?

Absolutely. Most of our clients moved from another provider or a break-fix setup, and we manage the transition—documenting your environment, transferring accounts and licenses, and stabilizing anything urgent—with as little disruption as possible. If you have an internal team, our co-managed IT model adds monitoring, security tooling, after-hours coverage, and senior expertise alongside them.
